Story Routes / SPOILER-LIGHT GUIDE
A connected series is easier to follow when you preserve the decisions that define your version of the adventure. Keep continuity notes separate from completion goals.
Know what the series promises
Inkle describes Sorcery! as four connected games, with decisions that can matter across the series; its press information also says parts can be played separately. That does not mean every platform has identical continuation steps. Check the options and official instructions for your edition before changing devices or deleting an installation. Keep account and transfer details private.

Summarise the character, not every scene
Write a few lines about the choices that shaped your character’s approach: cautious, curious, direct or willing to take risks. Then list a small number of unresolved people or places. A complete transcript is rarely necessary. The aim is to remember why a decision felt appropriate so the next part can continue the same adventure.
Distinguish your route from the series as a whole
A branching narrative can contain events you never see. Avoid reading a comprehensive plot summary merely to check that you understood your own route. Compare only the chapter and choices relevant to your run. If you deliberately want a different path, reserve that question for a replay rather than treating unseen content as an error in the current journey.
Prepare a clean stopping note
Before ending a part or taking a long break, record the next objective and what you are uncertain about. Check that any continuation or save operation offered by your version has completed visibly. Do not assume a screenshot of the story is a backup. A small continuity note preserves context; the game’s supported save system preserves progress.
